Irin & Lanette French
Speaker 1:

Hey everybody, it's me, lynette, and.

Speaker 2:

Ira.

Speaker 1:

And we are Blending with the Frenchess. How you doing.

Speaker 3:

I'm doing excellent, baby, how you doing.

Speaker 1:

Well, I cannot complain. God is good. Had a good productive day, Did some stuff around the house. Definitely Got some work done, you know.

Speaker 3:

Moving and grooving.

Speaker 1:

Moving and grooving like we always do, all day, every day. Yes, so, for those who follow us, you have been blessed to hear two of our eight children. We now have one of another one. Because they just keep going and going and going and going. Another one of our children here with us on today we have the one and the only, nia Maya. What's up, nia Maya? Hello, how's it going?

Speaker 3:

Good.

Speaker 1:

Welcome. How's it feel to be on the podcast? It feels great.

Speaker 3:

You've made it, you've arrived, finally, you're out here.

Speaker 2:

You're out here, so tell us about yourself, man, what you do. I play football and basketball.

Speaker 3:

What position are you playing?

Speaker 2:

football Receiver.

Speaker 3:

What else?

Speaker 2:

DB.

Speaker 3:

What about basketball?

Speaker 2:

I play point guard, shooting guard and power forward.

Speaker 3:

Just all of the above.

Speaker 2:

Except center. I can't play center. Why can't you play center? Too small, you too small. I can play power forward, small forward, shooting guard and point guard. There you go Okay.

Speaker 1:

And he has a shot like his mama, mom, you can't shoot, definitely. He tries to tell me y'all. But I beg to differ, I beg to differ, I beg to differ.

Speaker 3:

What grade you?

Speaker 2:

in.

Speaker 3:

Fifth, Fifth grade. Okay, so let's have a conversation. You ready to have a conversation? Let's make it happen?

Speaker 1:

You at one point were the second oldest of our clan before we got married. How does it feel?

Speaker 2:

being the second child. Oh, it is.

Speaker 1:

How do you like being the second child?

Speaker 2:

I'm not. Well, so before we got married, I know, oh, it kind of feels bad because JD's super bossy.

Speaker 1:

So you had your older sibling at that point, which was JD. Then you were the second one and you felt like he was super bossy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he'd tell me like everything, like, do the dishes, go clean up, do your room. And I'm like, okay, the room part, yes, okay, I do that, but the dishes, I'm like, how about you go do it? He'll tell me what to do. He still does it. He still does it. Yes, okay, he can ask everybody.

Speaker 1:

Yes, so okay, as y'all can see, you all were blessed to hear from our other second child. This is the other second child. This is the other second child and you can see the person out here. We love it Alright now how did you feel about having two little siblings under you?

Speaker 2:

It felt great. It felt great Because why? Well now, kinda, besides my little sister, what about your little sister? Super annoying, why Snitches Always picks and gets. She's always a favorite around here Well, not around here, around, like everywhere, always a favorite. She always gets what she wants. Never gets to clean up when she destroys your room.

Speaker 1:

Well, at least you're being honest about how you feel. But what if somebody was to do something to your little sister? What if somebody was to take her toy? Or if she was out and about and somebody pushed her? Then what?

Speaker 2:

Well, pushing part. I don't want to start, but take the toy part. That's a her problem. That's a her problem, it's a toy.

Speaker 3:

I mean outside of the family, like if y'all at school or if y'all was at the same school and somebody was picking on your sister, what would you do?

Speaker 2:

Talk to them.

Speaker 3:

Talk to them okay.

Speaker 1:

Because you, as her big brother, you always want to make sure she's protected, even if you feel like she's annoying at home, right?

Speaker 2:

She always is.

Speaker 1:

Well, folks, you heard it from him.

Speaker 2:

Even when I'm eating, even when I'm dreaming, I have a dream. I have a dream about my sister.

Speaker 1:

I have dreams and nightmares about her. Oh, my goodness, it can't be that bad.

Speaker 2:

So, uh, now that we just never had a sister.

Speaker 1:

I had not, and that's one thing that I always wish I did. I always wish I had a little sister. That's the opposite for me. You know what I think? It's because you have one. If you didn't have one, you probably would feel differently.

Speaker 2:

Heck, nah, I'd be fun. 4-4 basketball all night.

Speaker 1:

Well, she stays with all y'all.

Speaker 2:

She can't hoop at all Airballs, just like the. Sometimes it hits the room, mostly airballs. Just like Nathaniel Sometimes he hits the room, he mostly airballs. The only people who kinda can shoot is Noah, like the little kids, noah and Nathaniel. Noah can hit the thing. He can make it to Nathaniel. He can't do Trey and Janae. Hey Trey doesn't have the power and he's not athletic. He doesn't really do so much.

Speaker 1:

What is he good at? Tell the world what Trey's good at.

Speaker 2:

Oh, math and Talking and he loves to do arts and jokes artists and uh, drawing pictures. I think he's going to be a famous artist when he grows up. That's his job.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely so. Speaking of what do you want to be a famous artist when he grows up? That's his job. Absolutely so. Speaking of what do you want to be when you grow up?

Speaker 2:

NFL football player, and if that doesn't work out, nba. And if that doesn't work out, probably going to be a pitcher. And if sports doesn't work out, I'm going to be an actor.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yes, I can see that. Or a joke teller, a comedian A comedian yes, Because you definitely are the jokester in our home.

Speaker 3:

So what's your favorite acting role? Do you have any characters that you've created yet?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, a lot.

Speaker 3:

Give me one of them.

Speaker 2:

We play superheroes, so Magic man, you know.

Speaker 3:

Magic man. Okay, and then JD, hold on, let's go into Magic man real quick. You gonna act out Magic man real quick. Three, two, one.

Speaker 2:

What's up, guys? I'm Magic man, I'm the most powerful man of all time and I will stop you. Darkster, he's a villain, you know.

Speaker 3:

Okay, okay.

Speaker 2:

There's a whole lot of villains and stuff and we call it the Super Team. So I'm Magic Boy, jd is Claw man and he has like claws and stuff.

Speaker 3:

It's like magic, like Wolverine, almost he's basically Wolverine.

Speaker 2:

But just like faster and can jump.

Speaker 3:

So as far as Magic Boy, what does Magic Boy do?

Speaker 2:

He has a super shield that, like nobody can break through.

Speaker 3:

So like Captain America.

Speaker 2:

No, like an actual bubble. Oh, okay, cool A bubble. He can heal people, so like.

Speaker 3:

Captain America no, like an actual bubble. Okay, cool A bubble.

Speaker 2:

He can heal people, he can retract time, he's super fast, he can fly, he can breathe out of water, he can look into the past and the present and he can control people by like.

Speaker 3:

Magneto, yeah, so basically, and he is.

Speaker 2:

Tunganese.

Speaker 3:

So, in other words, y'all took all of X-Men and put them all into one character. No, no, no, no. That's what it seemed like.

Speaker 2:

Okay, just because James is moving, but Nas is just super dead. His is like sword man sword and fire sword and oh just. And then I don't even know the details, but I can just imagine him looking like that. If he's it looked cool and then my favorite character of all. Okay, you know like they're crazy, but I have to go with my sister. I do like her good, I like that she's a Hulk girl and like her power is just cool, cause like she has, you know how Hulk swings right.

Speaker 3:

Hulks are the best man.

Speaker 2:

Like they're. What is it? They're fur Feathers.

Speaker 3:

Feathers yeah.

Speaker 2:

Sheathers yeah, she can throw it at people.

Speaker 3:

Okay, she has a scream.

Speaker 2:

She has a scream that like makes people like pause and try to go, like that, because like it hurts the ears. And then, um, she also has like hot claws.

Speaker 3:

So have you ever watched X-Men? Have you ever watched X-Men?

Speaker 2:

Mm-mm.

Speaker 3:

That is crazy. So one day what we're going to do is we're going to have to watch X-Men, Because the reason I say that is because everybody that you're seeing they already have those type of heroes.

Speaker 2:

So it's amazing to hear you say that they're going to have sword men.

Speaker 3:

It wouldn't be sword men, it would be Wolverine that wouldn't count, wolverine doesn't have fire on his stuff but what I'm saying is that I'm not saying that every hero, I'm saying basically everybody that you named, that you said they had different powers. There's different characters in X-Men that have those same powers and they have those same powers. So that's really cool that you're saying these things.

Speaker 2:

I know they exist, but I don't even know their powers.

Speaker 3:

It's just Wolverine, yeah so I mean like Storm, Storm is basically the one that you were talking about. You do like the high pitch and everything like that. There's actually a Storm, yeah, Storm. You never heard of Storm, Nope, so she's actually the only she's a girl, yeah, listen, listen. Oh no, I know, who that is.

Speaker 2:

I played a Marvel game before.

Speaker 3:

That's X-Men. Yeah, so X-Men is under Marvel, so that's pretty cool.

Speaker 2:

How Like. Why is Marvel and X-Men the same?

Speaker 3:

Well, Marvel is like the brand. The brand, and then X-Men will be under them. So you got Marvel and then you got the Avengers. You know what I mean. So it's two different.

Speaker 2:

Avengers are trash. Well, no the only thing I like about Avengers is probably Flash and Batman Flash was my favorite hero and why is?

Speaker 3:

that Because he was fast. He was fast like me. Oh yeah yeah, flash was really. And what's crazy is Flash beat Superman In a race.

Speaker 2:

I know.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, y'all, they have had at it With all of this. Can we talk about football? I don't know who this Flash Dash None of these people are, but Thank y'all for that and I am so glad that, as siblings, you all use your imagination, you all create things and you guys are able to Spend time and play together. That's pretty awesome.

Speaker 3:

So let's talk about football.

Speaker 2:

So I'm going to talk about the Chiefs. This is my favorite team, broncos.

Speaker 3:

What's your record? Broncos country.

Speaker 2:

Let's ride. What's your record? 3-5 Packers are 3-5, but we won last week and we didn't lose to the second worst team.

Speaker 3:

In the whole entire league Besides the Panthers. So who did they play Besides the Panthers? So who did they play? Who did they play last week?

Speaker 2:

We played. I'm pretty sure it was the Jaguars.

Speaker 3:

Okay, so do they ever play against the Chiefs?

Speaker 2:

Nope, no, yes.

Speaker 3:

Week 14 for sure so have they ever beat the Chiefs? Yes, when. Week 14 for sure so.

Speaker 2:

Have they ever beat the?

Speaker 3:

Chiefs yes, when.

Speaker 2:

When Aaron Rodgers was in his prime and we had Devontae Adams.

Speaker 3:

And what year was that? 2019 Well it's 2023, it's about to be 2024.

Speaker 2:

No, 2022 too, 2022, oh yeah, okay, we beat the Chiefs.

Speaker 1:

How do you remember all of this stuff? Because I have a mind of football. Okay, mind of football. Okay, mind of football. I love it. So now that we've gotten your Marvel stuff, your what do you call them? Your characters out the way, we've talked about football, now let's bring it into our life. When you first heard that me, as your mother, was getting married and that you were going to have four other siblings, how did you feel, truthfully.

Speaker 2:

At first I was happy. Well, kind of, at first I didn't like him.

Speaker 3:

Who was him?

Speaker 2:

You.

Speaker 3:

Okay, you got to make sure you say it in the mic, because they can't see what you're pointing at At first I didn't like Iron.

Speaker 2:

But why didn't?

Speaker 1:

you like.

Speaker 2:

Iron Because I had another dad.

Speaker 1:

so I was like yeah, you feel like here's this other man coming in. I, I have a dad. I don't really know who he is. Yeah, we're around each other. Did you feel like he was trying to take your dad's place? No, no, would you just, you know, just wanted the life that you had, or what was it?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So then what changed? Well, it got better and better. Because, first off, the only thing I was really happy is, like the other four brothers because Nas, noah, trey and Rye like I played with them a lot and it was fun and everything. And now like it's even more fun because now we're starting to like play more games and around each other way way more, way more, because now we live together, now we're married.

Speaker 1:

And how do you feel about Ira, now that we're married? You still feel the same way you felt in the beginning. No, no, how do you feel?

Speaker 2:

I feel like happy.

Speaker 1:

Happy. I love that. I love the fact that you can be open and honest about your feelings, because you're not alone. There are a lot of young people as well as old people who, hopefully are listening to this podcast and you're able to share your true feelings. In the beginning, I didn't really care for him that much. Say, you had a dad, you liked the way that your life was. Here's this man yellow bald head, yeah, but what do you call him?

Speaker 2:

Mr Clean Mr.

Speaker 1:

Clean, but I love y'all relationship. I love your relationship. I love your relationship. How do you feel about hearing what he said?

Speaker 3:

I'm happy. I'm happy that we're able to grow our relationship. I never wanted to take your dad's place you know what I mean, but I do want to be a good role model for you and show you a new way or different ways of thinking about different things in your perspective. I do want to help you become the best version of yourself and allow you to be yourself. You know what I mean. Have those crazy conversations that we have that nobody else knows about. You know what I mean. It's pretty cool that our relationship is growing and I am very proud of you so absolutely.

Speaker 1:

And one thing that I can say, just observing both of your relationships, you both are, uh, a lot alike in some ways. You guys are I'm not bald, no, you're not bald, but you two are thinkers. One thing for sure when you go into a room, no matter where you are, you're going to be looking around, you're going to ask questions. You guys don't just take people's word for things. You are not afraid to say why or that doesn't make sense. You guys are very intelligent and you use your brains in other ways that some of us don't even think.

Speaker 1:

You know One thing I can say Nehemiah is iron here has saved you tremendously on several occasions from getting in trouble, from getting in trouble. You know, when it comes to certain things, like I'm that mom that, uh, I don't play when it comes to certain things, and he would always be like, oh, I got it, I got it, I got it. Or well, you know, maybe he didn't mean that, or oh, he always had your back from day one. So how does that feel, knowing that Mr Clean here has your back.

Speaker 2:

It feels good, and actually he's all-framed Mr Clean, so that means he's fake Mr Clean. Well, kind of like him. So basically his cousin.

Speaker 3:

Okay, I'm black. Mr Clean, huh, I thought you were yellow.

Speaker 2:

Whatever man, I love black. Mr Clean, huh, I thought you were yellow.

Speaker 1:

Whatever man, I love y'all relationship. If there is something that you could tell children who are coming from a blended family, what advice would you give them?

Speaker 2:

Um, have fun with each other and like, try not to get in arguments and stuff.

Speaker 1:

You don't argue with your siblings, do you? Sometimes, oh no.

Speaker 2:

Mostly with like my JD, because there's like most of my bonus brothers are just like. They just chill Like Nas Noah. Noah's the only chill. He's not chill when he gets like, when he gets mad or he loses a game, he's just not chill, but he's basically chill. If that doesn't happen, trey's definitely chill, chill. Most chill, yeah, we're always gonna get second place.

Speaker 1:

Second place in being chill.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and then the most not chill is JD.

Speaker 1:

So is it because you two are very competitive? Do you think that's the reason why you guys argue yeah?

Speaker 2:

We just argue over games, usually Mm-hmm, because, like sometimes when I'm beating him and if I just kick a field I win. And then it was on like NFL Blitz. He was like go for two. He shoved me and then clicked the button I had to go for two and I missed and lost. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3:

That's all right, I have to go for two and I'm missing and lost oh my goodness, it's alright, man, it's alright.

Speaker 1:

But one thing for sure that competitiveness, as long as we keep it in the house, we keep it contained, it's not going to do anything but make you all greater. That's why, when you are on that field, you can snatch bullets Y''all. This boy be jumping in the air, that boy's flying the other day yeah. So if you follow us on blending with the french's tiktok, this boy has gone viral so many times on youtube. He's's him, he's him, he snatches, he literally jumps up.

Speaker 2:

I'm second him. Devontae Adams is him.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so Devontae, if you happen to hear this podcast, nehemiah is giving you the title of being him.

Speaker 3:

As of right now.

Speaker 2:

As of right now, he's literally him, he is Now.

Speaker 3:

He's the best receiver, better than Jerry Rice.

Speaker 2:

Randy Wallace can't do nothing.

Speaker 3:

Jamar can't do nothing.

Speaker 2:

Jake Chet is always getting locked up, but my man and favorite quarter of all time, jair, he's strapped up any receiver besides Devontae Adams.

Speaker 3:

So what I'm saying is he's him now, but I'm saying when you get older you're going to be him.

Speaker 2:

Second him.

Speaker 3:

Nuh-uh, you ain't coming second to nobody, man You're going to put in the work.

Speaker 2:

Devontae's him Okay.

Speaker 1:

One day you never know, you keep putting in the work Devontae going to shake your hand and say hey, little man. I remember when I listened to that podcast and you said I'm him. Now I'm giving you the title.

Speaker 2:

All right, maybe, but Madden, you got to read Justin's rating. He got to be in that 99 cup. Something wrong with Madden.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know, and.

Speaker 2:

Johnny, here too Locked up, probably the worst corner. Justin Jefferson, I mean receiver, he's not bad, but when he gills he gets a good corner Mostly gets locked up.

Speaker 1:

Is this on Madden? No, in real life, yes, oh hope he's not listening.

Speaker 2:

I don't care. I mean he's good, I get that wrong. But if he goes and gets a pro bowl corner, he goes against a pro bowl corner. He's getting locked up just like he did a good gyre. Um many people have locked him up, honestly you're gonna lock him up next kind of like how I lock you up. Well, I do play db, but I don't want to. I'm gonna play receiver okay.

Speaker 1:

Well, one thing for sure is I know you're going to do amazing. So when it comes to school, I have A's and B's Because you're him, and that's what I love. You're able to get good grades. You're able to do well on the football field, the basketball court. You are growing into a mature young man.

Speaker 3:

Young, handsome, young man, strong, fast, intelligent.

Speaker 1:

Yes, he is. And ladies, he over here smiling what.

Speaker 2:

I already have a girlfriend Mom.

Speaker 1:

Alright, I'll be wherever she is tomorrow. Say, hey, you like my son, she's on my bus, okay, well, I'll figure out who she is you're not gonna do okay. Well, cause you can't have a girlfriend until you're 98 why isn't her on everyone?

Speaker 1:

well, that's a different story and I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to talk about his business on the podcast, so we'll talk about that a different day. So, before we get off of here, who do we put first in our life? Guy, yes, and as long as you put Guy first, you will always succeed. You will never fail. Is there anything you want to say to him? Before we close? And I'll have him to close with prayer- we're very proud of you.

Speaker 3:

I see a lot of growth in you. You've been doing a lot better with your emotions. You've been doing a lot better as far as listening and helping, and we're very, very, very proud of you.

Speaker 2:

good job before I leave, can I have the PS5 on the movie theater?

Speaker 3:

so can we go ahead and end this please? Simple answer it's a simple go ahead and pray.

Speaker 1:

You're going to lead us in prayer, son.

Speaker 3:

Go ahead. Matter of fact what's? Your favorite verse in the Bible? All right, so we're going to say a prayer real quick.

Speaker 2:

I got it. We just thank you for today. Thank you for your grace and thank you for making me, thank you for making me not dead in my sleep or anything. Thank you for protecting me and please protect this family and help me wake up this morning and start me on my day In Jesus' name, amen, amen.

Speaker 1:

Well, you've heard it from the one and only Nehemiah. I'm Lynette.

Speaker 3:

And I'm Ira.

Speaker 2:

And I'm Nehemiah Day.

Speaker 1:

Nehemiah, and we are Blending with the Frenches.
